John C. Bennett, Attorney

John C. Bennett graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1998 and moved to Atlanta that same year.  John was the staff attorney for a medium-sized company based in Atlanta for several years and has worked with real estate title and closings for over ten years.  In 1999, he worked part-time as a research assistant on the Child Improvement Project headed by the Supreme Court of Georgia.  He has also worked on the Pro Bono Project of the State Bar of Georgia. During Law School, John worked at the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office and was voted most likely to do Pro Bono work.

Outside of the office, he spends a lot of time figuring out new ways to injure himself on his mountain bike.  John is currently on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity DeKalb, a member of the Georgia Bar, American Bar Association, ALTA, Rotary International, and the Decatur Business Association.

Gilbert Taylor,, Attorney

Gilbert Taylor, Attorney

Gilbert Taylor  specializes in land use matters, including zoning and development.  He often represents neighbors who wish to oppose or modify developments planned for their neighborhoods, and  neighbors who are impacted by flooding caused by government drainage systems or by new developments.  Gilbert is a registered Professional Civil Engineer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.   Prior to receiving his law degree, he worked as a design and field engineer and project manager on numerous construction projects.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar Association.

 

 

Ann Dugan, Paralegal

Ann Dugan, Paralegal

Ann Dugan is a real estate paralegal with 13 years experience.  She has managed funding and post-closing for Origin since 2004.   With a small office like Origin Title, Ann also prepares settlement statements and other pre-closing documents.   Ann graduated from Briarcliffe College in 2000 with a degree in Paralegal Studies.

Ann is originally from Long Island, NY (and still carries a little bit of an accent).  She relocated to Georgia in 2000 with her husband and their three children.  She is on the board of directors of the Band Boosters and very involved with fundraising.  In her spare time, Ann is a consultant for Scentsy Wickless Candles.

Pat Logan, Office Administrator

Pat Logan has been a part of the Origin Title & Escrow, Inc. team for over 3 years.  She brings with her ten years experience in the insurance field and several years experience in real estate research.   She is in charge of the schedule, data entry, and post-closing document storage.

Pat Logan is an avid gardener and enjoys sewing and needlework.
